Becoming a Flight Attendant,

As a flight attendant you will hold a “Attestation” license in line with European legislation and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). This license can only be issued by a certified educational organization with the approval of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Occupation:  Flight Attendant or Cabin crew

The passenger cabin crew are responsible for the safety and care of the airline passengers and they are specially trained to deal with security and emergency management situations.

It is the cabin crew staff who have the responsibility for the well being of the passengers, and have to ensure their safety during the flight.

The flight attendant will follow a series of procedures before, during, and after the flight, upon the arrival of the aircraft at its destination. These procedures contribute to make it a safe and pleasant flight for all those on board.

The passenger cabin crew also deal with emergencies such as phobias, insecurities, and even the sudden illness of one or more passengers. They must also be able to withstand pressure from the passengers, or even from the captain or the co-pilot on the aircraft.

The cabin crew serve food, coffee, soft drinks, etc. to passengers, however, this is not the only kind of customer service offered. 

The specialized training of cabin crews is a top priority for all airlines internationally.

Omega Aviation Academy, with the approval of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and based on the regulations of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), offers students the opportunity to obtain the Attestation & Attestation Certificate.

ΩMEGA Aviation Academy has international recognition in accordance with EASA (Part CC) regulations and can directly accredit the competence to practice this profession.

Lastly, a flight attendant must possess a personality and character that is suitable and appropriate for this profession

  9. Able to work for long, continuous  hours in the air
  10. Willing to work unstable hours
  11. Frequent Travelling
  12. Unhealthy work conditions (prolonged exposure to radiation due to high-reduced humidity – aircraft compression)
  13. Acceptable of ” jet-lag symptoms ” (the feeling of fatigue and confusion faced by passengers of a long flight and especially long-haul crews -long – haul flights), after a long flight to a destination where the time zone is different from the time zone at the place of origin of the flight.
