International Week in Amsterdam

From 14-20 November 2022 staff from the Ωmega Aviation Academy attended the International Week of the World (WoW) celebrations. The celebrations ware held by one of our international aviation partner colleges, MBO College Airport in the Netherlands, which is the leading vocational Aviation College in the Netherlands.

The goal of WoW week is to help students develop international orientation, as well as to increase their intercultural competence – providing them with knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to communicate effectively with persons from different (linguistic and cultural) backgrounds.

“The week was amazing!” says Joanna Siotropou, International Office, Ωmega. “The opening show led by a South American brass band was spectacular and I have never seen such a copious offering of so many cultural activities in one place. It was an absolute pleasure being able to take part in what we consider to be the only way forward for young people working in our industry”, concluded Joanna.

The week-long programme offered students a plethora of information, workshops and presentations from guest speakers from all over the world and similar events were held simultaneously at other vocational colleges in and around Amsterdam.
